Afternoon folks! A three-quarters-through-the-day blog post this time (and quite delayed at that).
To be quite honest, I wasn't going to upload this particular outfit to this blog (it's generally not colourful enough for my liking), however it received such a positive reaction on my instagram that I wanted to share it here to see if it somehow exhibits something I'd not yet realised I could, well, exhibit.
I don't have many (read: rarely any) monochromatic days, and although this outfit technically has a pop of, you guessed it, yellow, it is otherwise black and white. That being said, I did feel very chic in this get-up with tied up hair to match. Maybe I'll try to introduce more edginess to my exterior appearance more often. Goodness knows I am not at all edgy interior-wise. Ridiculous is a far more accurate descriptor.
I thought I would also add a small section entitled Louise's Fantastic Trivia to each blog post (just for the Hell of it, to be honest). So please enjoy that at the end of the post (just in case you manage to drag yourself to the end, which I truly hope you will).
Anyway
On to the outfit...
See! Barely any colour! Chaos! General unrest!
Thanks to my ridiculous inner monologue and its fear of being 'boring,' what began as monochrome bowed to the power of the colour of the season: red. Therefore, I added a fantabulous coat which I snagged from work (Miss Selfridge) for a very, very low price in the Black Friday sale.
Outfit rundown
Yellow tee: M&S
Striped jumper: Miss Selfridge
Shorts: Vintage (sorry)
Fishnets: Accessorize
Shoes: Docs (of course)
Louise's Fantastic Trivia: I flipping love Friedrich Nietzsche, (one of) the philosophers to proclaim that God is dead, and while I recognise many of the issues with Nietzsche's approach to, well, the world (particularly women), I do sometimes fantasise that I am Nietzsche reincarnated, even though this makes no sense and our birth dates in no way line up. Utter nonsense = the contents of my brain.
Ta-da! (Gold star if you read to the end).
Thank you for reading, folks. Stay colourful, even if you do play around a bit of edge!
